Konidela Kalyan Babu (born 2 September 1971), is better known by his stage name Pawan Kalyan, made his acting debut in 1996 Telugu film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. In 1998, he starred in Tholi Prema which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year.

He was listed 26th in the Forbes India list of top 100 Celebrities of 2013.As of 2014, he holds a net worth of ₹185 million (US$2.7 million).

In March 2014, he ventured into politics, founding the Jana Sena Party. During that period, Pawan Kalyan was listed by Google as the most searched Indian celebrity politician on Google search.

Another Box Office film which was directed by Trivikram Srinivas has Pawan Kalyan starring in the role of Sanjay Sahu. The movie was dubbed in Hindi as Yeh Hai Jalsa. Jalsa was released with 400 prints in 800 theaters across 1000 screens worldwide on 2 April 2008. Jalsa collected ₹29 crore (US$4.3 million)(Share) in 100 days and turned out to be biggest grosser of the year.

Thammudu, inspired by the 1992 Hindi movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar.The film was remade in Tamil as Badri and in Kannada as Yuvaraja and in Bengali as Champion.

Kushi directed by S. J. Surya. Pawan Kalyan and Bhoomika Chawla paired up for the first time in this film. It is a remake of the 2000 Tamil film of the same name which starred Vijay and Jyothika in the lead roles.Jyothika was considered to reprise her role but later opted out.Kushi grossed ₹ 20 crores in theaters across the state. Sandhya 70mm DTS A/C officials stated that the film collected ₹13 million (US$190,000) from their theater in 160 days.
